The Deans of Schools of Leeds Beckett University are pleased to offer exclusive scholarships to students from Nigeria wishing to study the following programs below.
Type: Masters
Eligibility: To be eligible for the scholarship discount you must;
- Be a new student admitted during the 2018-19 academic year
- Be assessed as having an ‘Overseas/Non-EU’ residency status
- Be assessed to pay the overseas fee
- Be studying the relevant course full time
- Be actively enrolled on an eligible course (see list of eligible courses)
- Be a self-funded student, who is paying the full course fee for that year (those students who have their tuition fees paid by a third-party sponsor, employer or government agency will not be eligible for example)
- Studying that level of the course for the first time (i.e. not repeating any level during that year)
- Not be undertaking a placement year
Selection Criteria: The scholarship will be awarded based on the Statement of Purpose submitted with your application and how well you address the following criteria:
- Why you wish to study at Leeds Beckett University
- Why you want to study the course
- Your knowledge of the course
- How it relates to your future career
- Any previous experience in the field you wish to study in (work experience, extra-curricular activities, studies etc)

Value of Award: The value of the scholarship and tuition fee waiver will be dependent on the course that you are studying. These values will be as follows:
- International Foundation Year – £1,500 (first year only)
- Undergraduate courses – £1,000 per year
- Taught Postgraduate courses – £3,000 (first year only)
- Research Courses – £1,500 per year
